Just a guess, but betting there's a watch battery that's SUPPOSED to power that clock when the sled is shut off. Without it, it's going to do what you describe. Just like a computer with a dead CMOS battery that asks for the time/date every time you power it up....
Been riding a long time - over 40 years now? I had Lasik done in '04 - strictly because I was sick and tired of screwing with glasses while out riding my sleds. That would be 35 years worth of nothing but aggravation! I've been there, done that trying to make them work with a full face helmet of...
There's 2 guys regularly contributing here that I can think of. If they don't respond shoot me a PM and I'll give you their names so you can contact them.
Well sir, I believe you've hit the nail squarely on the head! It really is hard to go wrong....

Knowing what I know, I would suggest you do something with the suspension, now! The stock suspension is a complete POS as is. Seriously. It's a nightmare. At minimum you need to have the shocks revalved and extroverts installed.
Making more power or trying to get additional power to the...
Actually, no, they're not. They quietly increased the size of the driveshaft when they went to extrovert drivers - taking care of 2 rather well known issues at the same time.
