Ehhh yeah some orange on the flames but RTX had the Yellow a bit more. I just put it up as a goof, kind of like it actually. I hate to say but if the design of that motor lives up to the hype that will be a major plus for me. Smoker that goes 10k miles before a rebuild is awful appealing. My...
If in fact it is a crossplane inline 4 that will be a unique sled indeed. For those not so much into bikes the Crossplane was developed in the R1 with an odd firing order to make it a more tractable engine out of corners. Sounds almost like a V-twin or V-four but is in fact an inline 4. Could...
That CR likes to torture us with little "hints". I remember before the Viper launch he went to his cabin to listen to some Stevie Ray Vaughn. Really liked SRV he wrote=SR Viper. Ha!!
I know it seems strange to me also but as I said according to my Yam dealer Yam has an investment in Sherco. It is strange that it's not a YZ and if there is a Yam snowbike coming you better belive it will be a YZ.
Foooooor the record I said maybe the new "Cat" 800 DI motor is made by Yamaha and will be used in both sleds not the other way around. I say no way no how would a Yamaha snowmobile ever have a Cat built motor in it. Yamaha are known as a motor company for god's sake.
Cat snow bike is a for sure. It uses a Sherco motorcycle which I just found out from my Yammy/Cat dealer (yeah they were both before the merge) is owned by Yamaha. He said it is a for sure from Cat, Yam he's not sure but why not if Cat is doing it????
Could it be the rumoured Cat 800 Ctec-2 is a Yammy built motor that would go in both sleds?? Hmmm that would be interesting. I think this new one is a turbo tho.
