Ok, they gonna lose marketshare with 4-stroke if they don't offer something like BRP 900r turbo or 998 SW engine..
They already give up some reason with Suzuki turbo twin, if they come back with something similar it's not will be very interesting if not lightweight and at least 200hp...
That's not easy and economically reasonable task to do competitive 150 - 200hp 4-stroke engine for only snowmobile.
Not impossible but I will be very surprised if Cat/Textron bring to market something like BRP 900R turbo or Yamaha 998...or even some similar than old 1056 Suzuki
Next mod is put 2003 rx1 SS headers and pipes, because got 3 set of cracked (like in picture below) titanium headers...just cut off stock rx1 muffler and put these Suzuki mufflers instead it.
Allready eliminate donuts...
I'm not first which try make it quieter. I have seen one apex with extra silencers after original muffler :D no picture sorry..
Weight it lighter with these suzuki mufflers vs. stock one but thats not a point.
Also had problem that track could make bottoming stock muffler and "bowl" dont like...
Not sure of that bumber at all. Just made it quickly {and ugly} to get room for exhaust piping. It is allready second version of rear bumber after tunnel and track extension.
Coolant crossover cant be either anymore original place because track almost bottoming top of tunnel extension.
I have...
Try to make it quieter than stock for long trail rides. Not ready yet but it very doable.
I think it requires 121 - 137 extension, could be quite silly looking if mufflers goes longer back than stock bumber.
My DIY rearbumber is quite ugly, need to do better looking or at least paint it black :D
I put my battery inside of seat. OEM lead battery is tight to fit but LiFePo battery goes very easily.
I keep my sled always inside in warm, LiFePo isnt best solution if very cold weather and sled stays outside.
Once i tested keep sled outside 2 days in -15'C to - 20'C. It start up but i can...
I use C&A Pro XTX skis.
Works fine in my 2006 apex, last winter it was 129" with Lynx PPS skid and now it is 137"
Very steady and i can trust them when like to turn tight.
