Guys let's be honest here. Yammie for sure has the best fit and finish bar none, but quality Engineering and top notch components in every model, is a pipe dream. I currently own an 07' FX Phazer and an 09 Nytro XTX and have had my share of problems. Very poor suspension design with little to no...
I have an 09' Nytro XTX that I have had to put a new battery in pretty much at some point the following season. Getting a little tired of it :o|
Anyway I know the first thing you all will ask is how do I maintain the Batteries? I do take them out of the sled at the end of the season and...
i have had this happen with my Phazer. POS Yamaha design. Had o replace the shock twice. The front wheels are junk and when they fail look out! I need to pull the skid on my Nytro to see how it is doing.
Not too happy with this design. Very poor Engineering Yamaha!!
5000 Miles so far one Engine rebuild covered by YES. Sled was on it's left hand side and oil leaked into the engine. Not good. Can you say check valve!!! Come on Yamaha! Other than that it has been a great sled!!!
YES!YES!YES!
yr 2 my Nytro XTX was on it's side and oil leaked into the top of the heads. Needless to say it was not a cheap fix. Needed valves replaced etc....... Yamaha covered it all under the YES! no questions asked. So I say YES!!!
Update guys. I dragged the sled back to a dealer in NY state after I removed the plugs and turned it over to get the oil out of the cylinders. I also cleaned the airbox. The sled would not fire and was making a god awful sound. Turns out the starter was shot how I do not know? They also tore...
Yes the gauge pod does light up and the fuel pump cycles I can hear that No kill switch issues either. However, when I try to start the sled it just makes almost clunk noise. I have not tried to do this too many times as I fear the cylinder has a large quantity of oil in it and I do not want to...
Guys I was down a quart of oil when I checked and the sled was not running. The sled was on it's side for no longer than 4-7 mins. I hope the non starting problem is not something other than oil in the cylinders??? If it is what do you guys think it may be. When turned over the starter does not...
The big difference between being upside down and on it's left side is that when on it's left hand side the oil take i at the highest point and on the perfect angle to drain off into the airbox and into the cylinders. IMHO this is a bad design. There should be some sort of shut off. Yamaha should...
