Buddy had the same thing happen last year. Casting flaw is my guess. Blew straight threw side panel and right threw his klim jacket just missing his elbow. He burrowed my clutch to get it off the mtn. Otherwise would of been a heli trip
Couple hun to repair jacket
Getting tired of reading bad reports on the 2008 nytro. Can't beleive the money people spend on these things. Don't get me wrong a turbo or super would be great but 4000+ is way too much money.
Runing a stock 08 nytro. Geared 18 40 and a power claw 153 and a roest skid plate. I love how this...
So I got the skid plate bent pack to original design. Had to heat it up to get the right angle. Upgraded the rivets to bolts should be good for another 3 seasons
Just a heads up anybody running these. Check the condition of the rivets when doin oil change. Could really save you #*$&@
Still...
Thank you. Photo bucket and my iPhone were about to get smashed.
Yes it was the freeze thaw that pulled the rivets out. Didn't ht nothing just once the supports were gone it slowly works itself around made a crazy noise on hard pack that went away In the powder.
I have it bent back now...
Hopefully the pic works. Looks like the freeze thaw piped the rivets on the front of skid and aloud it to bend under.
Still happy with the skid plate way better then anything on the mark
Go outside and read the label on your rad cap. I'm sure it will say something along the lines of do not open when hot or caution under pressure.
The rad cap is designed to hold a certain amount of pressure in a cooling system. They all have a rating usually stamped on them meaning they will...
That's funny I was about to make a post too
Found a random bolt on skid plate when doing oil change. Two of the oil pan bolts are missing. I can't believe the gasket didn't fail. Going to tighten all of them. Looks pretty tight to get the front ones.
Hhhmmm 500 bucks and it lasted a month what a joke.
That's what worries me about these. I think I'm going to go back to the cherry bomb glass pack. I'm sure I could make one for around a 100 bucks.
It's just too much money for a little chunk of metal that might fail. And you can't tell me...
