How can you not like this? Joint venture to create a better sled. Hmmm, what a novel idea.... I think they made it look better the Cat version. I would buy one if I didn't already have that Vesctor LTX. I hope its as nice as it looks!!! :pics: :4STroke: :jump:
I always change in spring also. Letting old oil sit in the sled all year with all the by products of combustion is not good on internal parts, IMHO. ;)!
My '06 Vector was a little noisy, but now '12 Vector is alot louder. It's on the verge of being irritating when its warm & idling. I may try to fix this myself.
I have a Triton clam shell type, drive on/drive off trailer. It's the type where you use the ramp that stores under the trailer to get the sleds on and off. Works great with the wifes sled since she doesn't have reverse. The top opens either to the front or the back. I have had this for 5...
Pat's is a great dealership. I have seen them pull parts off off new and used sleds for people(myself included) if they didn't have it in stock. I'm sure they have there off days as well, can't please everyone unfortunately. Mike
If you put it away last year running great, the carbs are probably plugged up and it won't run unless it is choked. The gas sitting in the carbs will plug the jets. If you get it running as described above, and it won't stay running without the choke on partially, its carb cleaning time. ;)!
Mike I don't know what your mechanical abilities are, but if you are an average trail rider, 96 up the middle would be easy to do yourself. There are plenty of places to order studs, I just put 96 in my wifes sled for around $300.00. This got me the template and the cutting tool. It took me...
This is the second time I used them for the free 2 year no interest. Make sure you pay well ahead of the due date so they have time to process your payment and you should have no problems. I never did, but then again I always paid them off before the 2 years were up.
I haven't noticed much darting with the deuce bars. Much less than my '06. What darting it did do was very predictable and not as sudden if that makes sense. Handwarmers rock on this thing. My fingers have been frostbitten a few times over the years, and I cannot go much over 50% yet on the...
That's what I figured out a few years back after talking to the dealer. I put 8.5 oz in and it was up to the standard mark. I have been doing it ever since. ;)!
My dealer told me a few years back that they all get filled to the standard side of the dipstick if you have reverse or not. Supposedly they fill them all like this that come in for service. I have been doing it with mine for years and have had no problems. Mike
I would not replace that ski bolt with a stainless bolt. Stainless is not as hard, and that bolt takes alot of stress. Order the stock bolt & nut that came on the unit and be done with it. Put the cotter pin in the bolt hole so you don't lose it again. Put some never seize or grease on it...
