I did mine yesterday,i removed all motor mount bolts,tight spot to work,but its done and working fine. Bought the starter at Royal Distributing for $119.00+tax.Total cost with new oil filter and a liter of oil $162.00.

Im having that same problem...starter failed i think...Did you get your replaced and how much $$$$

Code 85 is thumb warmer short cicuit and 35 is ignition coil on cylinder 3 is faulty.

Anyone here replaced a starter on these Venture Gt.From what i read the motor must be lifted...Does any of you have a better way of doing this. Any advice will help. Thanks in advance..!!

Try a different bekt like a 8dn or 8jp.....and adjust the secondary with the 3 washers

My 09 Venture rs gt does the same,i just go faster and the noise is gone....lol

Had that happened to me....and it was the belt.....

I put snow trackers,shimmed the ski's.....runs straight.....

rs venture track noise I own a 2009 Rs Venture Gt and the track noise is driving me crazy also. Was wondering if you found the remedy to that humming noise,i thought my Apex was bad,turns out the venture is worst. Any ideas.

Apex error 01 Turned out to be the drive shaft bearing being worn and touching the speed sensor.All is good now.Thanks totally yamaha...!

Anyone seen an Apex 2006 showing a spark plug in the dash,machine runs great at idle,but cuts out at roughly 4000 rpm. Only once i saw error code 01. Can this be the throttle sensor(tors) Help....its snowing here...
