    Boost Gauge Options

I'm looking at making a Boost Gauge using a micro controller and display. I plan on displaying instantaneous, rolling average and peak with reset. Just looking for other options that could be displayed. Any ideas? Thanks

    Nytro TPS fail?

Also inspect your main harness for any damages especially around the left side around the clutch area.

    Nytro TPS fail?

You might have moved it enough that it is making a good connection for now. The splices are little black pieces on the wiring harness. They are about an inch square and 1/8 thick. There are two right on the main wiring harness behind the big connector for the FI harness. Try twisting the one...

    Nytro TPS fail?

I bet your problems is the splice connectors on the wiring harness. I just removed 9 of them and soldered the wires together. Goto diagnostics and watch the TPS reading while you move the harness and connectors. If you find the reading moving around then it is probably one of them.

    Boost question?

Remove the pump in the tank and put a inline pump and regulator. If you keep the pump in the tank and run an inline it is recommended to install a surge tank in between the two pumps. I like Walbro pumps they seem to be better.

Need help Nytro does not start

Check the power to the injectors. Sounds like the same problem I found on a Nytro this year. Problem was the little black splice connector near the main fuel injector harness. Cut it off and soldered the wires and it was good to go.

    Stock Air Temp Sensor

Also stock sensor were probably not designed for higher temperature so that's why most turbo companies recommend mounting outside to read ambient air temperature. I'm going to mount a temperature sensor in my intercooler and tie it into my data logger to see how hot it actually gets.

Starter ? & Good troubleshooting for Nytro start problem

Check the battery voltage as you are trying to start it. If the starter has good connection the voltage should drop. Might just be a bad connection on the starter or ground.

    Stock Air Temp Sensor

The problem I see with mounting the sensor in the intercooler is as air temperature goes up it would lean out the mixture thus making it more prone to detonation. Is this an accurate theory?

    Stock Air Temp Sensor

Just wondering if it is worth it to mount the stock air temp sensor in the intercooler? To me it should be measuring the air that is going into the engine and not the ambient air temp.

    ISC & Code 37

Just worked on a Nytro that was giving Code 37, turned out to be a grounded wire but while troubleshooting the ISC motor was removed. The service manual says do not remove it and the whole throttle body needs to be replaced but I found it can be removed and tested. Also all years don't list a...

MCX mechanical or an electrical oil scavenge pump?

I added a tie wrap around the pump inlet line and back to the frame pulling the pump clockwise to keep it from loosening. Similar to tie wiring a bolt but didn't want to use metal cause eventually it would wear into the pump.
