64 degrees in Houghton Mi, WTF!

Awesome idea! :drink: Think I might do the same when I get home tonight...

64 degrees in Houghton Mi, WTF!

Feel the same way... it's certainly hard to justify buying anything new if we're going to keep having winters like this. When it was here, it was great (at least around me), but this is getting ridiculous. Like others have said... guess I'll wait out the next two weeks and keep my fingers...

    2012 polaris

Rode the new Pro RMK 800 this last week in West Yellowstone for two days (rental) and can honestly say if I buy a new sled this next year, it will be the Assault. The new bonded chassis is light, rigid and handles great both on and offtrail. I like my nytro, but spending all day offtrail is a...

Best money you've ever spent on a mod or accessory

Probably a three-way tie for me as well. 1.75x146" Ripsaw Lite Track w/extros- sled pulls like a freight train. Hygear Sport X full suspension package (made it into a whole new sled), and Yamaheaters (my hands get cold easily). Those are the big three, but I have made very few mods to my sled...

Engine cut-off and yellow light flashing. Ideas?

x2 on TORS... when activated, won't let the engine rev fast enough to engage the primary.... flashing on display, yellow light on. Check your throttle cable freeplay. If it's too tight or is routed in such a way that the slack gets taken up when you turn the bars, it can activate.

    What floorboard to use?

After seeing those Skinz ones at the snow show this year I've been trying to hit everything I can to have an excuse to buy them LOL.... seriously sick boards. Worth every penny...

    ? for xtx guys

I have an 09 as well. If you can find one that's a deal, go with it, but you'll have to get a yamaheater for the grips (rather have that than the warmer stockers anyways). As mentioned, wheels, if you want them. Also it's said that the front subframe is stronger on the '10s and '11s, but I...

    Who has a bv2s?

I have one that I wear on super cold days or when I know I'm going to be doing a lot of sit-down long-haul riding. I have never had any problems with mine either, and I have facial hair. I would have to agree with what others are saying about the outer shield not sealing for some reason. It does...

    M10

get a Hygear Sport X package and you won't have to worry about putting in a new suspension.

need some advice on the nytro, thinking of buying one

On season 3 with my '09 XTX. I came off a REV onto the Nytro- never looked back. The REV was lighter, that's about the only thing I liked better about it. The Nytro has arguably the best stand-up ergonomics of any sled right now. I prefer it to even the XP chassis (for stand up riding) which...

    who likes riding whoops?

I like a mix- need some flat sections to ease the stress on the body during a long day... however- there's nothing better than leaving my buddies in the dust as they grind out mile after mile in pain and I'm busting across the tops of them effortlessly. I've never ridden another sled that does...

What/who is the nytro made for??

I'm on my 3rd season with my XTX and have done a lot to it. It is a GREAT trail sled for when things get bumpy. For super long trail days it's not my favorite (have a Poo IQ600 Switch for that) but for 100-200 mi days with lots of stops its great. I have the Hygear Sport X package on mine and...

    new nytro owner

I would agree- unless it's a killer deal and you don't mind doing a few mods to get it handling right, avoid the 08's. I understand that the 10's and 11's have a stronger front end, but I have an '09 that I've beat the piss out of (on my third year now) and still haven't managed to bend the...

    Project Mid Mount Vector

Have loved following this build... the engineering and fabrication skills you have put to use are very impressive. I do understand where you are coming from with the Nytro though. The last project sled I built got sold shortly after completion. I know you aren't necessarily WANTING to sell it...

    Headlights and Handwarmers

About the same amount of mileage w/ HID's on my Nytro and I didn't get warm hands until I bought a Yamaheater....
