    06 Nytro does not start.

Pressurize the gas tank while cranking it over. Happens all the time with these sleds in the off season. Locate the gas tank vent line at left footwell by belt cover or use a rag and try to pressurize thru gas fill hole. Don't get too crazy with pressure- just a bit to get gas back to fuel...

2005 Rage 6,000 miles very rough idle?

Did the idle problem show up right after cam chain tensioner was done? I did my own tensioner 2 years ago and mine would not idle at all w/o giving it throttle. It would run perfect to top end. Cleaned carbs 3-4 times- no help. Found out the chain had jumped during the process. I had to remove...

    05 Vector Airbox hose question

I have a 06 NYTRO and mine does have a short hose on that drain nipple. It kind of ends up down by/below the battery.

    06 NYTRO PAINT

Does anyone know where to get yellow paint to match the OEM yellow? ( A-arms) I got black from Color Rite before for my hood but they don't list a yellow.

    2006 Nytro A-Arm removal

I just finished replacing the front bushings with Ulmer Racing's kit. You have to remove the shocks, air box, battery and tray, and the front nose cover. I think that's it. I would definitely consider replacing all those bushings while you have it apart. Mine didn't seem worn out at all, but...

    Newbie looking for carbide help

I ordered mine in April or May and got them the last week of August. I had heard there usually is a long wait. This time of year you may not get them til it's time to summerize the sled. I just hope this gets my sled to turn good. If it does I won't miss my old SRX anymore.

    Newbie looking for carbide help

I have ran the stud boy deuce bars (6") for 2 seasons on my 06 nytro w/ stock skis. I have experienced 0 darting but I can't ride all that aggressive because they are unpredictable in the turns. I can't speak for them yet, but I have a set of 8" bergstrom triple points bolted on for this year...

    06 Nytro riser - suggestions?

Maybe you have already looked into this but when I got my nytro the previous owner had spun the riser 180 to get a lower/tipped back setup. I turned it back 180 and it's a pretty comfortable setup for me w/ the taller nytro seat as I am 6'4"

changed cam chain tensioner now runs rough

Probably is the cams out of time. Had it happen to me also after replacing my tensioner. Mine would not idle unless you gave it throttle. It also occasionally backfired thru carbs, but ran fine when driving. If that is the case you will have to remove the tensioner again, get things lined up...

Overheating Question on 06 rs vector

I wish they would incorporate something like T.O.R.S.- maybe not as drastic. Just so you would know it is too hot. I almost destroyed my srx motor a few years ago in bright sunshine-you can't see the temp light. My water pump failed and I didn't realize it until it started bogging. It discolored...

    WARNING REPLACING CAM CHAIN TENSIONER

Mine has also been back together for a week. Do not have a lot of snow to run it, but took it it out and seems fine- idles perfectly again. In using the Rage engine to get my timing correct, I found that you needed to have the 2 close marks centered on the "pointer" at the crankshaft inspection...

    WARNING REPLACING CAM CHAIN TENSIONER

CENA, mine would not idle when cold or warmed up. I removed and cleaned carbs 3 different times with no change! I finally picked up a ruined rage motor that the timing is still correct on- so I will use that to reset mine. I posted about this engine on another post. This motor appears to have...

    WARNING REPLACING CAM CHAIN TENSIONER

Yeah i took the tensioner back out. I saw the lines, arrows and letters. Is there a mark on the crank gear that I need to line up also?- or when #3(brake side cylinder) is at tdc at any point- the crank is where it needs to be?

    WARNING REPLACING CAM CHAIN TENSIONER

I guess you are right grizz- after reading some recent posts. I just wish that info was posted earlier. There were posts and photos of guys doing it, but no mention of the motor being at tdc (unless I missed it). Can anyone explain to me how to get it in time now?

    WARNING REPLACING CAM CHAIN TENSIONER

If your thinking about replacing your tensioner, be sure to remove the valve cover and somehow hold cam gears and chain. When you remove the old tensioner there is a great probability of your cam gears slipping on the chain- putting your cams out of timing. This happened to me and I have now...
