    new venture gt top speed?

Probably just barely make the C note. Look up some RS Venture guys and ask them.

    New Sled..

Did you look for the manual on ebay? Usually plenty of them there.

    06 vector suspension adjustments

So not even close to being an expert so I'll leave it brief so as not to expose my ignorance. Increase transfer will get you better traction but will cause the ski's to lift more. For only trail riding and not racing you can probably take some transfer out. Limiter straps are that limits...

    Funny noise

Without hearing the clunking can't help you with it but the rubber smell is just the belt. It drove me crazy and I was always paranoid about it being mis-adjusted. I have the squeekiest belts in the history of snowmobiling but it is because I always forget to take off the emergency brake and I...

    starting to get discouraged

Been here for a few years and watched the Vector, Venture and Rage come out. Then the Apex and Phazer and now the Nytro. Each first year sled has had it's issues. Most have been nits that we worked through and I bet far less real big issues then the other manufacturers. I'm still waiting since...

06 Rage - Engine noise, fuel mileage

The clutch is annoying and you could read the 3 million posts and varying responses what have worked and what hasn't. At the end of the day you could also choose just to ride and not wrench. I'm sick of wrenching all the crap I have here so I let it go. The motor is the best in the business...

best way to remove belt on '05 Vector

I see said the blind man! When you did this wrench trick you do it from that side. I thought you were torquing on the bolts that hold the shims. Thanks for the clarification and the pictures.

Track howl 05 RS Venture whats latest on extra/bigger wheels

Look back at posts and I think you can use the Kimpex wheels that are slightly oversized with out any milling. Think the post was put up by Hondo and it wouldn't be a bad idea to PM him.

best way to remove belt on '05 Vector

undecided it isn't so much strength but timing. Push and twist almost in one motion. I find that you definetely want the parking brake OFF. If ya get that down it is easy. I'm spooked of that trick with the 12mm bolts. I'm afraid of breaking them, they don't look very stout.

    06 Rage suspension

On the wheels I think you should get the Kimpex which seem to get rid of track howl. Do a search for those part numbers and IIRC they are slightly oversized. You said lack of ski pressure at idle???? I suppose you mean going thru a turn. IF you are new to 4-strokes learn how to feather...

Just stumbled upon this Vector review

Good for you guys! Snowtrax liked it but with the Rev XP's weight so low nobody will vote anything over it. In the latest they had a good right up though on 4-strokes and actually backed them quite a bit. Glad I'm not one of the "Chainsaw Gang". Hi my name is Ernie, I can bench press 88...

    RS Vector at high RPM!

Sorry I saw this thread do late. Mine started doing that last year and has been worse this year since getting it out of storage. At first I put the idle up which made it even worse, then I actually lowered it and it seems fine. I saw it all along as a linkaget thing. I sprayed Silicone all over...

    Carlisle or Dayco

Just a paranoid view here but I wouldn't buy anything from Carlisle if it is anything like their crappy trailer tires. Strictly junk from China. I hope the same isn't true of the belts but I sure wouldn't be betting on that.

    Synching Carbs

Every since I got my sled it would stumble off of idle if you lightly feather the throttle. Since it did that since new I am guessing that it isn't a dirty jet or carb problem. That and I would prefer to not monkey with them and get them out of adjustment. Instead I want to try synching it but...

    Probably gonna buy it

The prototype would be cool but who fixes it if you don't. Isn't 6200 a little much for an '06 with 1400 miles on it?
