Sorry I screwed that up I did'nt check the compression, I was going to but my gauge was busted, but you're right, should have been 0 psi on that cylinder. I have to get a new gauge and check the compression, this should tell me if the valve is seating.
A couple weeks ago... I shut the sled off after a ride, so the engine was warm. 10 mins later I go to start it and it was very hard to start, i had to hold the throttle at 1/4 to get it to fire up. But the sled didn't sound right, it didn't have enough power to move and wouldn't stay idling...
Next time someone gets a chance, on a night ride just have a peek at your pipe and see if yours gets red rot, I sure hope this is normal. Thanks guys! :rocks:
20 mins into my ride just then my sled strarted to make a slightly deeper, throatier sound from the exhaust, I stopped to have a look, it was dark outside so I noticed the exhaust pipe under the seat from the engine to the muffler was glowing red hot! The sled seems to idle and run normal, no...
26 here with a Mtn. Lite on the way. Still don't have it yet, hopefully this week. We have a little bit of snow here, I just took the drag sled for a quick ride to make sure everything is working good. Can't wait! It won't be long now!
Hey thanks a buch guys! ;)! If any anyone knows the FX shock length they can throw that in this post as well, but I'll find out tomorrow when I visit my dealer to have a second look at the FX on the floor. They have the one with the brown seat and yellow graphics.
Hey JP, I just noticed your front shocks are black, not gold like in the proto pics. Did you paint them or it came like that? Looks alot better black.
If it's not too much trouble, if you get a spare minuit, can you measure the extended length of the front shocks for me? Get a buddy to lift...
Does anyone know if the front shock on the FX and Mtn Lite are the same length? It looks like Mtn Lite sits a bit lower.
Maybe someone can measure theirs for me? Prop the front of the sled up and take a center-to-center measurement? I can get the length of the shocks on the FX on the showroom...
Probably too early yet.
So you want to keep everything but the side pannels? I don't think a blue or red FX or GT will look good with grey side pannels, I'll Photochop it when I get a chance to see what it looks like.
Here's the Mtn Lite with a black belly, I think I like the grey...
