I'm having "problems" with the Phazer. It shows light and no fuel left and still only getting 5.2 gallons back in. So I'm still having 2 gallons left

Nice to hear, I don't think you need to worry too much about that happening again. Especially since you seem very aware when it comes to driving and the mechanical behavior. And that really have a positive impact on longevity of the machines :) But if it happens to anyone, it will be interesting...
Catman, the rpms on WOT is controlled by the weights in the primary clutch. did you just drop in the spring? The 2012 Apex showed highest power at 10100 rpm, so being around 10k sounds just about right. About 1.5 hp less according to that dyno test. No clutching will change top speed - if it has...
Gotta go to work early but I'll leave a quick shim. I think the Phazer has potential to get quite good mileage. The stepbrother - YZ 250 the dirtbike engine has problems with piston longetivity. However the Phazer has longer piston skirt which prolongs piston life and cylinder life. But the...
I must give a +1 on comfort clutch kit. Got it on the Phazer with stage 2 and new helix. At first, it didn't do much difference in engagement rev. But with a smoother hook up. 1000 miles later it engages sooner and a lot smoother, I can launch so smooth a can go 1 mile at a time on the speedo no...
Wow! Thanks for all the input, really amazing to hear about the details and such great comparison. Really awesome! I think, since my Phazer already went up from 18.5 mpg to like 16-17 with the clutch kit, I think it's about he same in fuel economy too. I actually got 16.8 mpg from a rental Nytro...
I've seen Phazer MTX's who were used as a snowmobile safari machines. Sold with 30000 km on the ODO. That's almost 20000 miles :) and not any engine problems reported

Hi guys!
I'm seriously thinking of going to an SR viper XTX from my Phazer rtx. However, I've haven't even tried sitting on one. I really love the Phazer, light nimble and gets me where I want to go. For this season I went with a 136 extension and a freeride track. Which I haven't even tried...
I just got SLP Powder pros for mine.
Heres a review. If you wants to be able to turn, total control and being able to go faster around the corners, then they are awesome.
They need slightly more steering effort than the stockers on hard trails when going in old ski-trails. But they are...
So true.
The 2-strokes and 4-strokes are quite different. Since we have to carry around a heavier engine, Yamaha has made the chassie etc a lot lighter to keep the weight down. Ie, lifting the Rave 800 in the rear it is heavier, no doubt about it. Even if we have an exhaust there.
I...
I just have to agree. I've been testing my uncles Lynx Rave 800 '09. Compared to the Phazer, it's different. I like the PPS way of dealing with bump. But damn, it feels like a tank. Still 5kg lighter than the Pz. I didn't tell him how bad I thought about his sled, just hopped on my Pz and smiled...
