did the orange pink orange spring not work out for you??? i have the 14.5 rollers and the O P O spring in but have only put about 5 miles on in a bean field with a v max 4...i could pull about 5 to 6 sleds on him up to top end before we had to shut down showing about 95 of dream O meter...
need to clairify that your talking about the shims on the jack shaft or the small shims/washers on the 3 bolts screwed into the backside of the secondary???
schlick, mattk is from central iowa (des moines area) as am I...my 09 xtx is in his garage, parts all over the place while we changed my exhaust doughnut gaskets. i thought i would check out some clutching options...matt has clutched many sleds but this would/will be his first 4 stroke so i/we...
Thanks Grizz!!! my nytro only wants to crank over on about every 3 twist of the key...i am thinking this relay my be my problem...will trouble shoot further, checking for loose connections ect...thanks again.
i got tired of replacing hypax on my old vector every 500 miles so i put the Pioneer Performance kit on it and did not change them in over 2000 miles...i have since sold that sled and i am now on a 09 nytro xtx...i put on 4 polaris wheels on the outside rails and instead of machining the mounts...
check your mounting bolts for the A arm, there is an update from yamaha because these bolts loosen up and back out. the update is to put loctite on the bolts.
LOL grimm!!! thats good advice as i did that at our club grass drags the sunday after thanksgiving!!! rode the sled from the trailer up to the starting line (about 1500') before i noticed...left the belt on anyway and got 2nd to a good running Poo in the 700 stock nonstudded class.
like attakdog said adding washers to the secondary tightens the belt, therefore if you take them out it loosens the belt which should take away the squeal.
