.004" run out clutch end of jackshaft

Soupy, this is Eric DW, Bakker's buddy from way back. I'll let you run my secondary if you let me try some of your aftermarket clutch parts. have had zero belt issues. Be back from the up late tomorrow night.

    SIDEWINDER XTX

All I can say, is that I have an XTX 141 without the high gear right now and it may be the worst riding sled I've ever rode. It's fine off trail, but I I wouldn't wish a bumpy trail ride on that thing on anyone. I'm going to pick up the hygear link, but in case that doesn't work I picked up a...

Throttle response STOCK vs Free Flow Mufflers

I know.. I'm still not sure what I'm thinking! I guess there is a new belt for next year, and new clutch calibrations. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and, like I said, i don't know if i will be trying all that hard to sell the sidewinder (but the viper sitting next to it really does need to...

    That's pretty funny. :)

Throttle response STOCK vs Free Flow Mufflers

Here's another example of my XTX and a buddies stock 800 summit. This was the last afternoon of riding of the year, and we were doing some playing around with suspension settings, and I did a few laps in the woods trying to get a feel for comparing the summit to the XTX. Here in this video...

    Off idle/low speed response?

Curious how the various clutch kits and/or tunes are effecting the low end and off idle throttle response. I am riding the XTX LE this year, and we are doing a lot more woods and off trail riding. While the XTX is amazing sled and the mid range and top end are incomparable, I find myself...

    2017 BTX Serious problem

Did you have insurance on said $17,000 sled? Wouldn't they be taking care of it as it sounds like it would be about totaled?

    Xtx 141 front evol pressures?

I wish I could help you with the front, but I don't have mine dialed in either. What did you find was working for the rear? The pressures were quite a bit lower than the specs in the manual, so I thought I was going to see some improvement going up in pressure to spec, but it actually got...

    Watch Secondary Helix Mounting Studs

I had it one time years ago with an SRX, I double nutted it, sunk it back in tight, and never had a problem again. That was a race sled so that secondary was apart a lot which may have had something to do with it. I would put it back in with a couple drops of loctite and not worry to much...

Sidewinder VS XRS VS 6000 vs renegade.

How heavy does the steering feel with the 9" shapers? I have the 6" shapers on the same skis on an XTX LE and the steering was incredibly heavy and hard to turn the bars at times. Maybe it's a chassis thing relative to the XTX LE and the uncoupled skid?

    Sidewinder xtx 141 track options

I guess it depends which XTX your talking about - I believe the XTX LE and SE both run 8 tooth drivers (I know my LE does), but I believe the XTX 137 runs 9t? The 8t drivers will fit at least a 2.25" track, as that is what came on mine stock.

Sidewinder xtx 141 se shocks setup

I found on my XTX LE, it fought me a little bit at super slow speed, but once "on plane" and moving in the deep snow, it was surprisingly easy to lay over and get to move, with the sway bar still attached. Having said that, I really want to try it without the sway bar, to bad it's been raining...

How to Achieve Better ski lift and flotation??

Wider ski's will certainly help over the tuners. Check out the Cat ProClimb 7's, it's their mountain ski, and is pretty affordable compared to some of the other options. If you can find a Cat service manual to download (not the owner's manual) it talks about not letting the straps out to far...
