It wouldn't make sense that the speedo be off 10% and the odometer not be. I would think the odometer is an electronic function derived from the speedo. They both use the same magnetic switch (gear)
If I don't sell my 07 RTX this spring, (see classified, 700 miles $6900 by the way..LOL) I will hold it till fall. I think when the leftovers are all bought up, and people start pricing the new ones mine will be worth more resale again! :o|
That is the ONLY good thing about the price increases!
check classified. My 07 RTX like new condition 700 miles $6900. It has reverse. Plus it has the Ulmer oil filter relocation kit $150, a cover $100, and med windshield $100. I can understand a guy wanting to buy new, but this thing is in new condition with extras for less.
I am selling my 07 RTX. it is in the classified, but here is a quick overview.
Looks and drives like brand new.
Ulmer oil filter relocated kit
cover
med height windshield (also the stock height)
$6950.00 if it sells this week.

I don't notice my Apex vibrating at idle, but I have to admit I never rode an RX1. Yamaha did however take 2 pounds out of the crankshaft for the Apex and Attack, this may be the difference you feel.
the only thing I feel after 200 miles is sore muscles between the shoulders the next day. But it is not from steering, it is from the addicting pull when you keep stabbing the throttle to lift the skis! LOL
Rex,
How do they redo the springs? Do they use heat, cold bend or what? I assume when at the top of the added height that the springs are a little more forgiving?
One thing to remember is if you have your adjustment at full weight transfer your two rear shocks are not coupling until later in the travel. If you want better antibottoming, you need the rear shock to couple with the front shock sooner. I admit I run at full transfer as I like the wheelie...
My riding style has become more mellow over the years. I thought I could adjust the skid to be more plush. It comes close, but when I hit rough trails now I just slow down. It is easier to add to the ati-bottoming characteristics of coil over springs (dual springs etc) than to get a plusher ride...
I already had made up my mind that if I don't sell the sled I am going to have 1 1/2 to 2" of the softer (like regular apex) foam to top of the firmer foam. I like sitting a little higher anyway. I just dislike the ride characteristics of the torsion spring systems. A dual coil over setup...
Rex,
Do you know if I can get the tunnel brackets seperately from dealer?
Does that mean a person putting the RTX skid on the mono tunnel would have to remove them?
Ok, if I can't find someone who wants to trade my 07 rtx skid for their mono, I am going aftermarket. I have experience with m10 but not on a rider forward frame. What is the experience with AD Boivin and M10 on a 121 Apex? What characteristics does the Boivin have?
