    Final assessment

Youre absolutely right. I live in a windy, snow drifted, mountainous area of Alaska and the VK is not made for here, but it literally was the only new utility sled not springchecked in all of Alaska last year. But.....I believe that "rider forward" design is definitely better at driving over...

    Final assessment

You know, i bought a 2022 vk pro and tried to make the best of it. Added things to it to make it better offtrail. Its powerful and actually did well following skandics (definitely following). We all know japanese put the effort into refining the problems in the machines and make them more...

    Snow Flap

Has anyone removed the snow flap on their VKii? It seems like the heat exchangers on the pro ii’s are not really reliant on a flap like the full tunnel coolers on other manufacturers. I pulled the sled out for the first time this winter and remembered the flap really getting in the way of me...

Easy dropping of slide rail wheel to lower hole

I couldnt find any info on dropping the slide rail wheel to the lower hole for deeper snow. For anyone wanting to do it at home, i found an easy way. Someone on here suggested they had to loosened the track tension and flip off the springs etc…I didnt want to do that, So, after jacking the...

    First deep bush trip

That is genius. Me and a buddy were just talking on this trip that they should all come with two throttles, and here you go… someone already thought of it, wow. Im going to definitely get one. A guy on this trip was running a 1995 sled and was the one breaking most of the trails. I realized...

    First deep bush trip

Took the 2022 Vk pro 2 on its first real trip into the Alaskan bush. 40-50ish miles to a remote cabin. Across frozen rivers and up mountainside chutes. Over ridges. Since Yamahas are not very popular in Alaska, i got a lot of flak friends: Its too heavy (roughly the same WET weight as a skandik...

    Skis

The dealership installed Ski Skin #SMA-8FNSK-11-BK on my 2022 VK pro 2. I was looking on yamahas website and see that the last year those were offered on a VK Pro was 2017. Now, They look like they fit, but upon closer look there is some slight fitment issues on the mold, but it works i guess...

Yamaha VK Pro 2 Slide rail wheel adjustment

I was thinking of options. That was one. The other was heating with a heat gun and curving the skin up. It has some room.

    Vk pro 2 mods

Is it downloadable? Only accessible on here? Do they have a 2022 manual already?

Yamaha VK Pro 2 Slide rail wheel adjustment

I just ordered Snow Jack. Ive heard good things about them. See how it works.

    Vk pro 2 mods

When you dropped to the bottom mount holes…. was it as easy as taking the bolts out and jacking it up? I was gonna try and the bolts seems weirdly stiff, looks like theres a set screw maybe. I dont have a manual to see the proper procedure.

Yamaha VK Pro 2 Slide rail wheel adjustment

I just sucked it up a hole and took it for a ride. Ive got to say…. im fascinated an inch or so of strap length made such a difference. I honestly didnt think that little bit would change the characteristics that much. Before, driving across the lake, it felt like a boat not on plane yet. Now...
