Dog hair is a good deterrent also. I have a Saint Bernard we just brush him and wrap the hair in a rubber band and place in the machines being stored. Works great

I've never had a problem with powermadd's and cold hands. Not saying it's not possible everyone is different. I also wear claw style gloves or my shooter gloves ( paw with index finger separate )
