I can understand no big changes from Yamaha for '13, but some refinements/improvements are always welcome.
How about improvements in suspension and steering linkage bushings?
On the topic of the rear exhaust, no one has mentioned the dreaded exhaust gasket replacement, some type of...
No prediction here for what Yamaha might have coming in the way of new snowmobiles, but curious if they ever thought of doing away with the rear-exit exhaust?
Something less complicated, and maintenance-free (no "donuts" to replace) would be welcome.
Replacement Wheels for Mar-Lift?
Has anyone had to replace the original plastic wheels on their Mar-Lift?
Somehow one of the rear (non-swivel) wheels broke in half on my lift.
Curious if anyone has found a replacement wheel that may be better than the orignals.
Been thinking of getting a Phazer, and in my area, there are a few low mileage '07 GT's for sale, and haven't seen any newer ones.
Any reason not to consider an '07, and what would be considered a decent price for the '07-'08 models?
I notice the Phazer has a 7 gallon fuel tank, on the...
A guy in my snowmobile club is considering a used '03 RX1-ER, said to have less than 2,000 miles on it.
Can anyone tell us what he needs to know about these 1st year sleds?
Thanks in advance for the help!!
Stud Size
Go here for Woody's application guide:

Assuming that sled has a 1.25" track lug, should be able to run 1.325 studs.
Have any refinements been done to the sleds, other than no paint on the tunnels and new graphics? I would have liked to hear that Yamaha improved on the exhaust systems-better set-up to alleviate the gasket and pipe issues many are starting to have, better heat output on the handwarmers, and a...
I'm not sure of any mass-produced inserts but I made a template and bought some "Gravel Guard" trailer fender protective vinyl w/adhesive backing and cut it out and put it on-looks great and has held up well, at least I think it still has held up.
I had 2k miles on the sled when I sold it...
In the preferred vendor area, in Ulmer Racing's section, they mention under the Rub Kit topic that they have a newer version of the kit available.
"The kit includes 2-cnc machined idlers, 4-bearings, and all hardware for $70"
Has anyone tried this version?
Thanks for the info on what happens when the bearing goes bad-I wasn't sure if the speedo sensor would work or not at that point.
I still do not understand why Yamaha doesn't design this bearing to be greasable like the other manufacturers, other than selling more parts.
I know it's not...
