Interesting!! I've been wondering how many miles he was able to put on that Vector engine and what happened to it. Would be neat to know what kind of parts it needed along the way. 80k miles is amazing and proof of Yamaha quality! Funny to actually be saying this but the original OP's 35 000 kms...

I know you're hoping to find a simple explanation but it looks like a big problem from the color of that oil. Like Grizz said, sleds do all that every day and the oil is clear. I wouldn't run that engine another second without an oil change and good look through to find the cause.

My buddy did it to an Apex Mountain track and loves it. I think he took it down to about 1.75 and says its great. If you want to do it right, get the dirtbike tire hot knife called "Knobby Knife" and it will cut it clean and smooth with minimal effort. The Knobby Knife is basically a very hot...

I personally don't know if the aftermarket even has options for this as I don't think there is a large need for brake upgrades but I could be wrong, maybe someone does. What issue are you noticing with the brakes? Are you talking fade or simply feel?

Oops, pushed reply too quick :S I agree with the above, my brakes are awesome and will lock with one finger if I want. Something must be wrong with your brakes if youre thinking you need some type of upgrade.

Depends on your dealer. I was given new limiter straps on warranty. I know this is minor to replace but I was still able to do it myself. What warranty parts are you replacing?

Anyone snap this sled up yet?? Sounds like a great deal!!

I'd just pull it apart yourself at the end of the season and send the whole subframe to Grizz to get the gusset welded in right and you won't have an issue after that.
