I had this problem with my 2003 RX-1 (-20F). I have not tried the hot water trick...but was told it might be the starter "relay" solinoid.
After I held the key over to start position for 10 sec... I started to hear the engin grown. Waited a few more seconds, then she started to crank, and...
DinoRx1 and I are in the 270 lb range. Will adjusting the front shocks keep us from bottoming out the skid on rough trails? I may look into a different spring...but I think there is a difference in adjustments for a rider that is 50 lbs lighter. I'll bet if I weighed 220, I wouldn't bottom...

Check the connector thats under the seat. The pig-tail in on the right hand side, right where the seat aligns with the gas tank...and check the wires for rub thru.
