So I alternated them and noticed most had a red dot on inside...again, they are all still magnetized and a b!$tch to get back in straight. Does this look right?
Finally got around to changing sensor and same thing...speedo reads zero...was in there last month and all the magnets are there and are magnetized...wouldn't think I'd have 2 bad sensors. Blew my track this weekend so I have to go back in there to replace track, any ideas what to check?
Yup plugged in, cleaned and dialectic greased...gauge shows a 0 for mph...when it warms up I'll try putting old pick up on...thought maybe it might have something to do with magnets although rpm works fine.
I had to change my chain case cover last year because drive shaft wore through…cleaned up magnets reassembled and plugged into new speedo sensor that came with used cover and now everything on gauge works (rpm, alt, water temp ect) but speedo stays at 0. Was in there again this year and all...
I was lucky to get 10,000 + miles on my first drive shaft but it was time for a new one as my bearing was getting pretty loose in the shaft...went with a new SKF double sealed bearing, Precision EFI driveshaft saver and new shaft from Yamaha...hopefully problem solved.
I ordered the filter from fortnine but you can use this to match filter…I use synthetic 75w90 gear oil for chain case.

I've used Mystic 0W40 for the last 2-3 years and am switching to Canadian Tire oil (which I believe is rebranded Mystic...same bottle different sticker) and a Maxima ProFilter PF 147. IMHO any oil that meets Yamaha specs is a good enough oil but you will probably get as many answers as there is...
Thank you Allen...do you sell the hard ware that secures the intercooler and I'm also looking for the bracket for the quick spool waste gate...pretty sure the one I have is not for my MPI setup.
