Actually your headers don't look too bad! I would turn up some new flares on the lathe and weld them on the old pipes, after you cut the old flares off. If your not equipt to do this, any good machine shop could do it cheaper than a new header pipe.

There are a couple of Elites in my area, I see them occasionally. They are good on rail beds and lakes, but I can't see them on some of the current trails. They are just too wide.

Never cleaned the carbs in my 04 either. When storing for the summer, I will drain the tank, add a little stabil, then run the engine until the carbs go dry. This will get the stabilizer into all the passages in the carb and prevent gumming. Never have had an issue with it stating in the fall.
