Just have yours painted. The Dupont paint code for Yamaha blue is J3852. If you can find a body shop that uses DuPont paint(now called Axalta) they can mix it and paint them for you. The color is dead on. I have painted many many Yamaha parts with it.
I installed the quiet kit from Schmit Bros and I can't believe how much noise it took out of my clutch. It isn't perfect, but I can live with the little noise it makes now. Unbelievable. Best $10 you can spend on these sleds. I also put in the comfort kit with the softer spring and new rollers...
I just got a 2010 manual on CD off of e-bay but I am out of town for work right now, or I would look it up for you. I would think the 2010 would be the same wouldn't it? I will try to remember when I get home Friday to look.
I called Schmidt Bros today and had a nice conversation with a fella there. They really seem like they understand these clutches. I ordered the quiet kit which includes spacers for the roller pins among other things. We got into a discussion about clutch engagement and I decided to order a...
The bolts that hold the weights in my clutch like the ones you have circled are tight. The ones that hold the rollers are really sloppy though on mine. I was thinking about getting some fiber washers to take up the slack on the bolts.
I just can't believe how loud this clutch is on my Wife's 2010 Vector. I had a 2006 Nytro and it was never like this. I have a buddy with an Apex with 13K on it and his is quiet. I have to find a fix. Somewhere I think I saw Ulmer respond to a post about o-rings behind the slider shoes that wear...
It will be 108 on a 136" track if you put 2 studs in per row. I would add some hyfax if you can. The thread on this is a sticky and it's called "anyone who studded a 2010 Vector read this" or something like that by Mr Sled.
I found one last fall for $250 if I remember correctly. I was lucky enough to get the directions but they aren't that great. Here they are. Hopefully you can read these. If it doesn't turn out I will make you copies and mail them to you if you send me your address.
Anybody know a graphics guy that could make me some hood graphics just like the 40th anniversary hood graphics in blue? I need to get rid of these goofy silver flames on my Wife's 2010 Vector LTX. I was going to buy the 09 blue ones like my avatar, but geez they are expensive. I can buy a wrap...
So if the EPS is the difference, then it just wouldn't receive power to that function on my sled which shouldn't matter. I guess I will have to look at the part numbers for the speedo wiring harness pigtail to make sure the plug is the same. Thanks for the info.
OK that makes sense. But I do wonder what the difference is between the 2012 or 2013 compared to the 10's and 11's. Seems like the same sled to me. All those years are fuel injected.
The micro fiche only shows the same part number for the 2010's and 2011's. The 2012 shows a different part number, but I wonder if it will work? If all they changed was the face or something like that, it wouldn't bother me. For that matter, would an Apex speedometer work?
Any insight would be...
I just need it to idle for 4 or 5 minutes to warm up the engine enough to change the oil. It won't have to move. I was worried about hurting the computer, or some other electronic components.
I wouldn't even have given it a thought if I hadn't read somewhere not to do it on my Cat.
I am fixing a rolled over Vector, the speedo is missing and I was wondering if it is ok to start it up and run it? It might take me a while to find one, and I want to warm it up to change oil in this thing this spring.
I know on my Cat Procross they say don't start it with the speedo...
