I have a 2007 Phazer standard with 3500miles on it. Thinking of selling it, just wondering what to ask. The only upgrades are Protaper bars with handgaurds, tunnel closure kit, dually bars and a gauge relocation bracket.
Thank much
Here in WI I usually get a short christmas day ride in before all the family stuff. It is starting to look like that will not happen.
I have heard the same thing about the farmers almanac, I really, really hope that it is true.
I have an '07 base model without a fan and have never needed it. The only time I have had the temp light come on is after playing in the powder then idling through town to get gas.
It is my understanding that they are equipped with a shut down feature if engine temperatures get too high.
The "loudness" of a sled is more closely related to your distance from the source.
Exhaust noise is mostly due to wavelength. The wavelength of a 4 stroke is twice as long and has less frequency than that of a 2 stroke, because of this the thumper sound travels further with more tone. Making...
I am thinking about replacing the track on my 07. I only trail ride with the occasional off trail adventure.
What track do you recommend?
Where is a good place to look for new tracks?
How much will it cost me?
Should I go with the 136 extension right away?
If so how much will that cost...
I started disassembling the front end last night. There seems to be alot of slop in the front end but could not find anything wore. Is that how they are? I decided to go with 6" doolys and shim the skis like suggested.
I got my phazer in my garage to get it ready for snow. I have stock skis and the steering is very darty and they are useless in the little powder riding i do. Will putting 6" doolys help that? Or do I really need to buck up and buy new skis?
Thanks
I tried taking the Phazer for a spin yesterday. stuck twice in 4 miles. First time just the bars showing, second time I had it stood straight up. I wish I had some pics to share with you guys. Im going out grooming tonight on a fresh trail, wish me luck. I'm thinking the Phaze is a little easier...
Turned the key yesterday, the instrument panel came to life, relay clicked, no start, no code. I did this 3 or 4 times and on the last time it started. I rode it all day with no problems. Any suggestions?
So I got some advice from the local Yamashop yesterday and decided to dive into fixing it last night. I began removing the plastics and on a hunch tried the key one last time and it fired up. Works fine, for now.
Thanks, I already know what the code is, I am just trying to get assistance on how to fix it without taking it to a dealer. I bought a new sled because I was sick of spending more time fixing than riding and my old sled letting me down. This has not been the case.
So I was out riding the other day in some powder but mostly trail. The sled started backfiring on decel on the way home.
I shut sled off and let it sit for a day (high of 2 degrees). Then when I tried to start it the instrument panel came on but no crank. Tried again, same thing. On the...
Yes I did. I drilled out the rivets on the old bars then drilled new holes in the Pro-Tapers to rivet them back in place. With the Acerbis wrap-around handgaurds I was only able to install one of the rivets because of the bar insert.
