wow, how did you find that???? 600cc 2-stroke, in what appears to be a B-TX style chassis with rear rack, Very interesting!!!

    Yamaha Cutting Production for 2019

I look at it as more of a stop gap procedure. Limited supply of 2019 sleds, many of which are spring order only, means very little in dealer inventory next year. I don't see Yamaha getting out of sleds, but I do agree that I think they didn't see the textron deal coming either. They probably...

2019 Yamaha Snowmobiles – Be ready when the flag drops!!!

Sounds like a "new" SRX with lowered suspension and 1" track like the thunder cat, not sure if it will get the iACT or not. Otherwise, sounds like a pretty good update on the old srx, low stance and tons of power! I'm interested to see if Yamaha gets the alpha rear suspension, and how it holds...

So. Whats in those backpacks that everyone is wearing?

Depending on the ride I wear my camelbak ski pack. Usually have a shovel, multi tool, some bull-line, beef jerky, Water or gatorade, toilet paper in a ziploc bag, spare pair of goggles with a different lens, extra pair of gloves and batteries for my goggle fans and gps. Plus it gives me...

    FIRST REPORT: YXZ1000R TURBO!

Sounds great, but not too sure about those guys... The YXZ came out before the sidewinder, so how could they be speculating that it would be using a non-turbo version of the sidewinder motor? And since when does the YXZ make 155hp? Aftermarket turbo kits don't count. Nevermind the part about...

    Which tows easier ?

do you have any models/pics? I'm not following your points about the rear doors causing significant drag. Some drag would be created, but I wouldn't call it significant, frontal area and overall weight will cause more fuel consumption. I think you are overthinking this unless you are keeping the...

Looking for performance upgrade, 2010 nytro

Ulmer K&N intake kit, PCV, and an exhaust along with clutching makes a pretty good difference, about the best you can get without going forced induction.

    2018 Yamaha Release

Seems like Yamaha is killing off the Viper, very few models available now, and all have the old body work. Surprised the apex and phazer are still around. Interesting release, but not what I was hoping for their 50th anniversary.

    VIP Membership and TY

I'm kind of on the fence whether this site has saved me or cost me money hahah, seems like every season I see more mods I want to make to my sled, or great deals on mods that I didn't know about lol It's actually hard to think what I haven't modded on my sled now. Like my sig says though...

    Trail tank - impressions

I'm running a mountaintech tunnel cooler (larger than the MTX by a bit) and have deleted my rad, sled runs nice and cool. Only time I've had overheating issues was running a very hard pack road for a long distance, if I would have had scratchers, I probably would have been fine.

    UNDER TUNNEL EXHAUST DIRECTION?

let us know how it works out! I've been wondering this too, just don't see how to do it with my muffler.

    UNDER TUNNEL EXHAUST DIRECTION?

the SDR mufflers had the 180 option for deep snow riding, I think his reasoning was to reduce the chance of the track wanting to pack the exhaust with snow. I have the standard muffler on my sled, and only notice problems when in deep snow and light throttle. One snap of the throttle, or if I...

    Rear cooler

Stock yamaha one? I'm running the mountaintech one without a rad and have only overheated once running a bare road for a long time. Since he uses a rubber hose for the rear loop, adding an extra cooler in the rear would be pretty easy. If I remember right MPI makes a tunnel cooler kit for these...

I have no pics of the sidewinder cooler, but what is wrong with the nytro coolers that are available already?

Awesome build! Sounds like a great weight, and I didn't even notice that the bulkhead cooler is being used for the intercooler, very smart idea!
