You remove it as an assembly with the mounting bracket attached. This is how I always remove mine, and mine is not broken. Its just 2 bolts on each side of the bracket into the delta box.
I put a Bluetooth setup in my BV2S on the cheap about 2-3 years ago. All told it was like $20
Details are here http://ty4stroke.com/threads/in-helmet-bluetooth-for-bv2s-project-cost-under-20.99866/
so, the height of the isolators determine how far "outboard" the oil tank gets moved. Are we talking 1/2" - 5/8"?
There is a small relief molded into the plastic grillwork directly above the oil tank. Does your kit introduce any interference with this grillwork? Is there adequate...
When you send your shock to Pioneer you fill out a form indicating your weight with your gear on, and the type of riding you do mostly.
Bruce will be able to tailor a calibration that suits your size and riding type quite well. Revalve was the best upgrade I have made to date on my 2006 GT...
Because the seat is lower in the saddle, it will not touch your fuel tank shroud and will look pretty odd.
Also, the connector for the brake light is different (almost 100% sure on that).
Other than those two things, it will bolt right on there. Seat pan and anchor points are the same.
BV2S is awesome.
Be aware the early builds had some design flaws that were fixed around 2004 ish.
One thing you need to watch for is the face mask air intake valves.
The updated face mask looks like this, and this is the one you want:
The original face mask valves only had 3...
It should have double lip rubber seals on both sides.
The best way to extend service life on these is to remove one rubber seal with a dental pick type tool, clean the old grease and moisture (it will look like Nutella chocolate spread) out with a spay cleaner of your choosing and repack the...
Yes, the clamps are keyed to the rubber boots. They hold the clamps "clocked" at the correct angle.
Be aware of this when you are putting it back together
Who has been doing your rebuilds?
Has it been revalved? From the factory, Yamaha had ohlins calibrate (valving and spring) these shocks for a 160 ish pound rider on nothing but plush trails.
Any shop that is familiar with these shocks, especially pioneer performance, knows that these ECS...
Take your hand or a white paper towel and squish down the foam insulation on the lower plastic body panel directly under the oil tank. If it is saturated with oil you know that your oil tank has a tiny crack somewhere.
Mine went at the end of last season. If yours is cracked, find a low...
How many miles total do you have on your sled? And how many since Hygear the ECS apart.
Would have been ideal if they would have cought the potentailly worn components leading to this break down when they had it apart last.
x2 on the thank goodness for back up sleds!
That must have been one hell of a shake down ride!
Just kidding.
How many miles since Hygear's initial rebuild/revalve? Any idea when the failure occured? I'd be prepared to have it go back to Hygear. They might extend some type of goodwill service whereby the entire repair would not be...
