They are all fully clipped.
At the tech meeting the rep said they are all 2 ply tracks at this time, subject to change.
I kind of like the 2 ply, I've a lot of issues with single ply tracks. Hard to keep studs in them.
I can understand their standpoint. I wouldn't want to release a factory FI set up with my name on it that isn't 100% complete and tested.
The clutching, suspension and engine tuning aren't even dialled in yet, so it would be pretty difficult to tune forced induction set up
Re: Quality Specifications BS...Wake up boys!!!! its still a
Once you ride one of these, you will realize that power steering is not needed. Don't talk until you ride one. If it had eps, the steering would feel disconnected.
Thanks! Lol I was going to try to embed them, but it is too much of a PITA from the ipad with the snotty wifi here in the hotel.
If some people want a few super high res, I can do this once I get home.
I'm kicking myself for not bringing the camera out to the demo ride!
I can tell you firm riding all of the viper models, the steering is very light and effortless. I can't comment on trail suspension performance, but from what I have felt thus far, I wouldn't make a decision until you ride both machines.
In the end it might boil down to your riding position...
I didn't really notice if it is QD or not. Hopefully it will be. Here's another shot of the seat. They did say the seat will look much better and wrinkle free.

I can tell you it feels pretty snappy. I had the XTX doing 90+ on the very small test lake we got to rip around on.
I'm pretty optimistic.
Nickleuici: the Yamaha reps told us that it is the same core motor as the nytro. Just different intake, exhaust, engine control (closed loop).
It looks like it will be pretty easy to jam a turbo right here!

I agree, the steering did feel very light and effortless.
I had the XTX up to 94 mph on the little lake we had set up for us.
They all felt pretty nice. I'm digging the uncoupled skid in the XTX. Pullin skis with ease
I am currently at the Yamaha dealer meeting.
I had the same questions to my reps.
They have assured me that Yamaha QC will be implemented throughout. Yamaha has sent teams of engineers from Japan to make alterations to cat's plants.
All of the parts and fit and finish will be to...
CD specification is an out dated spec. Use shell rotella t 10w30. Meets and exceeds CD spec.
