A couple weeks ago... I shut the sled off after a ride, so the engine was warm. 10 mins later I go to start it and it was very hard to start, i had to hold the throttle at 1/4 to get it to fire up. But the sled didn't sound right, it didn't have enough power to move and wouldn't stay idling...
20 mins into my ride just then my sled strarted to make a slightly deeper, throatier sound from the exhaust, I stopped to have a look, it was dark outside so I noticed the exhaust pipe under the seat from the engine to the muffler was glowing red hot! The sled seems to idle and run normal, no...
Does anyone know if the front shock on the FX and Mtn Lite are the same length? It looks like Mtn Lite sits a bit lower.
Maybe someone can measure theirs for me? Prop the front of the sled up and take a center-to-center measurement? I can get the length of the shocks on the FX on the showroom...
What does everyone else have planned for their new Phazer?
I can't wait to tear into mine (Mtn Lite), no turbo for me, atleast not for the first season. This time I want to keep the engine fairly stock, the piped Viper was just too unreliable and sucked way too much gas, limiting the amount...
Does the Phazer have a storage compartment in the seat? If so, about how big is it? What can you fit in there? Any pics?
Still havn't seen the new Phazer in real life yet.
Tough enough to handle a chain failure? Could get expensive! :o|
Probably wouldn't have any problems with 80HP but what about say 110 force fed HP? And now the warrenty is void.
Thoughts and opinions?
Do you guys think there will be problem strapping a gas can on the tunnel with the exhaust location? Is there any aftermarket guys that makes universal racks? I hope Yamaha will make a neat special gas can and tie-down strap like the Doo guys have.
