Can anyone provide a picture of their fuel system upgrade for a nytro? I am curious how/where other people mounted their pump and regulator and where the best place to run the hoses are?
CR Racing in BC had a few kicking around so I got one from them. I was told heat and then getting snow on it could cause it. I am thinking the heat/extra torque is the culprit of it.
I started going through my 2010 Nytro turbo sled for next year and noted my secondary is cracked. I have seen spider cracks before and not worried too much but there are a few bad ones.
In looking for a replacement I found some apex, vector, etc Yamaha secondary clutches for cheap. Are they...
Ah ok- Similar idea that I used to do for leak testing my 2 stroke motors. I will gear something up. Unfortunately the snow is depleting fast and with the covid pandemic we may not get up again to try it. I did run it on the stand with feather the brake to simulate resistance after I re-ziptied...
I am using the AEM Wideband
You are correct- the headshim is supposed to be good for 91 pump fuel. I mix a marginal amount of C14 because 1) I have lots left from my race sled which will be no good by next year and 2) I don't trust the fuel around here to be true 91 anymore as I've seen it vary...
Checking the plugs at this point won't tell me anything as I drove it back to the truck about 1/4 throttle so it wasn't into boost so the plugs would look great.
I tore it apart last night and noticed the boost line going to the MCX controller could be pulled off easily. Every other line was...
That was my thought as well that if it was that lean it wouldn't run normal. It wasn't near the rev limiter as it was only reving 8000. I put a new set of primary weights in afew runs ago and I am still getting them dialed in so I am slowly bringing the rpm up. It wasn't pulling over 8200 in all...
No the kit has been on the sled since new in 2010 and has 5000 km on it. I put lots of miles on it with it running consistently in the 12-13 range under 10psi boost. (full throttle)
The 240 kit uses the stock pump bit it has additional injectors in the plenum.
I started stripping it down...
I have a 2010 Nytro with a 240 MCX kit on it with the head shim. I had it out yesterday and it started running lean. Idle was fine 14, then cruising along up to 0 boost was 12-12, then as soon as it started building boost it leaned out. As the boost built it leaned down up to 17-18 @ 10 psi...
Progress has been coming along. I had to take off the MTX front and rear skid mounting brackets and the rear tunnel cap. I got XTX brackets and cap installed now. While at it I went with the 141" AC skid instead of the 144" XTX skid. The MTX tunnel already had the holes for the XTX skid to the...
I wanted to switch out my suspension while I was at it where the mtn tamer skid didn't hold up so I bought a AC 141" skid and started the MTX to XTX to AC 141" swap. I will post pictures as I go along for anyone who may run into this down the road... although most people are onto the newer...
I thought of that but it has a mtn tamer skid which I broke on the weekend while playing so I would prefer to switch to a more rugged skid for my style of riding.
Hey,
I tried the search function but couldn't find an answer. Has anyone converted a MTX to a XTX. I have a 2010 Nytro Turbo MTX 162" with the Mtn Tamer skid. I bought it was it was a good deal on a turbo even though we mostly ride groomed trails here. I am looking to convert it to an XTX and...
Thanks for the response Mr. Sled! My first idea was to mount it directly into the intercooler and I took it to a machine shop to see what they could do. They could drill out the larger plug on the other side and weld a bung onto it for the bolt to secure it but my concern was there's a risk...
