I found the newest update to the pivot arm and ordered it.
Does anyone know the tallest lug I can run on the track for an RTX since I need a new track also?
I hav
I'm not sure. I haven't dug into it yet. We are on a trip and I don't have a heated garage to rip it apart in. I have yet to fully assess all the damage. The two guaranteed replacement parts are the front torque or pivot arm and a new track.
I was pushing the chassis beyond it's...
I have a 2008 phazer RTX. Took it out last night. Ran into some rough stuff.
The front torque arm in the rear suspension snapped sending the forks through the track, locking up the track at about 50 mph. I don't know what other damage has been done.
Are there reinforced or improved torque arms...
Ya, there is definitely more to this story than what is being stated. At minimum a traction discrepancy. They ran studs at the shootout on grass. So your sled in different elements had a 41% increase in ET in 660 but the other sled had a 100% increase in ET? That's a fish story.
I'm curious if they put the mach in launch mode even without using the stutter. I think the shock ECU controls ski lift in launch mode. Considering the bad launches, not being able to use the stutter, and still being in break in mode (unknown how much that really impacts), I think it did pretty...
I'm ocd too Steve. Factory parameters are 17.4 psi, not 17.1.
It ran 192.5 HP at 16.3 psi at precision EFI on an Enduro. The difference on precision efi's Dyno in boost would be consistent with around 7hp. That's correct.
But that pull was on a brand new and new to them Dyno from precision EFI...
I would be surprised if the mach mph's well. Their predecessor was terrible for top speed. The 998t is king there for the foreseeable future. And the mach would have a hard time matching the pro cross chassis in the woods
According to dynotech's Dyno numbers on the mach z, it may just be that.
It ran 193 HP at 14 psi.
Doo uses a break in period where it detunes the machine. It will run 17.5 psi when the ECU releases it. A naturally aspirated 900 ace is 95 hp. At 193 hp it is averaging 7hp per psi. I will let...
I know nothing about personal water craft. It isn't an interest of mine so maybe. There might have been some years there. I do know sea Doo dominates the watercraft world so a lot of people must like them.
Because I'm the one that made a Mach Z thread right? Had 10 pages of guys talking on the Mach z thread before me.
It's not a crime to like all snowmobiles even if some of you can't handle that. I don't think I've ever bashed the yamicat. But I have defended it. They all have pros and cons. It...
I have 0 worries about the motor. BRP has never produced a bad 4 stroke motor. The 900R is almost identical to the X3 turbo RR motor. The fuel system is more than capable for the power. Guys are running 300hp on stock internals in the X3. It still has 90% the cc as the 998t. They wouldn't...
It's resources. North America has it's own third world country they can use to build this stuff for pennies on the dollar. But the materials still have to come from china.
It looks like you also jumped to the dark side. I am a little OCD too so I can try to help you out.
Big is an overstatement. It's a boost leak most didn't experience. If they did, it was usually in that spot. A little blow by that works its way into clamps can render most systems to find a...
If you guys keep telling people to buy something else, Cat will end up closing it's doors and ruin snowmobiling for you. That attitude is why out of every 100 snowmobiles that sell, only 3 of them have yamaha stickers. The cat chassis hides the weight well. But there must be some reason why the...
Knapp is a pretty good source of information. I will say this though.
His interpretation of the ski lift and being wheelie heavy on the 900 is from the older suspension. Guys who like it call it playfulness. I don't like it because it takes away from performance in my opinion. Mr. Knapp...
If we are being fair, cat and yamaha have a very strong stranglehold on 3rd and 4th place when it comes to snowmobile sales. Like cat and yamaha combined they still don't sell half of what the 2nd place company sells. I don't know if I would call that "what people want." I like cat. They bring a...
