Whats the perfect Air/Fuel ratio for Nitrous

Don't know about fuel pressure but would target 10.5 or 11:1. You may be giving up 2 or 3 HP but it will help with detonation and keeping cylinder temps cooler. Engine temps do actually run cooler when on the spray. The N2O is so cold going in it cools your engine down!!!

I'm looking for a kit for my 08 Nytro

On the spray I would say to target 10.5:1 to be safe.

    2011 apex

About time It's about time Yamaha did something to this sled. I went away from Yamaha simply because they refused to address the crappy steering and darting of the Apex. Also, I felt it was crappy that they refused to get more HP out of their motor when most of the competition has. FINALLY...

I'm looking for a kit for my 08 Nytro

Be careful going to a 90 shot. You may be getting very close to fuel pump capacity. Also...a 90 shot will empty your bottles pretty quick :) Put on an A/F guage and see what it reads. If Air / Fuel looks good you should be o.k.

I'm looking for a kit for my 08 Nytro

I liked the Boondockers kit on my Apex. It worked great. If anyone is looking for nitrous kit for Apex...mine is for sale...no longer have the Apex. http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?p=807864#807864

    Nitrous University

Man, sorry to hear that. I hate to kick a man when he's down but I did say that you can't add 50% hp to you sled while only adding 27% fuel. The math does not work. A Yamaha Apex motor operates at or near a BSFC of .50 If you add HP, you need to add the equivalant amount of gas to maintain...

    Nitrous University

The nice thing about it is you have a wideband a/f and will know really quickly if you run short of fuel. I may be wrong but it was explained to me that your engine consumes X lbs per hour per horsepower. A stock Apex consumes around .50 pounds per hp per hour of fuel at wide open throttle...

    Nitrous University

If you are gaining about 2.5-3 Hp per gram you would be trying to add about 200HP worth of nitrous??? When Dynotech tested some apexes with Turbos the stock fuel pump and injectors ran out of capacity around 240-250 HP Total. Anything bigger than a 100 Hp shot you'll need to up the "fuel" if...

Are you running the Holman nozzles? If not, How does your system adjust for changes in bottle pressure? Can you buy just the holtzman nozzles? I'm running a Polaris now and thinking of installing my old (Boondocker) Nitrous kit from my Apex on it. On my Polaris I am running a PCIII. What...

Oneida Lake King of the trail

Just thought I'd update you guys on this crazy race. I showed up on my sled to spectate and drink a coors light or two with my buddies. Everything was going as planned. Looked like about 100 sleds signed up for the various classes. They did an abreviated trail ride around circles on the lake...

AJ, 5 to 6 hours???? Actually only about 1.5 hours at the most from Oneida to Old Forge. Hell, you can ride sled from Oneida to Big moose in about 3 hours if you don't screw around too much. It's probably only about 120 miles by sled. Sorry I missed you guys at the race 2 weeks ago. I'm...

No problem. Your air box will be fine. Like I said, start thinking about installing an additional bottle in your trunk. That happy gas is really addicting :)
