Is there a tool to make changing the belt on an Apex? If so, who do you think makes the and easiest one to use? I just have a hard time spreading that rear clutch. Thanks

If I get a cooling fan to put on an 07 Phazer, is it easy to install and can you just plug it in to the wiring harness someplace.?

I am thinking of getting a Phazer. Outside of the Mountain one, I noticed I think there are different length tracks on the regular one. Did Yamaha change the overall length of the sled to accommodate those different length tracks? Thanks

I already have a 1000cc sled, I don't need another. I think the Phazer is 160 lbs lighter than my Apex. I rode one and loved it. Easy to move around, easier on the arms to. I'll keep the Apex but just want something smaller and less powerfull.

Thanks for all the help. I want something easy to throw around, my Apex is just too heavy and I'm too old. Will use that on long rides and open trails. If you go to a longer track, what do you have to do to the suspension?

The relay is for injected engines, there wouldn't be a relay on the carbed Vector's

Thanks guys, I am partial to the short track. I have an Apex, nice sled, but liked my Vector better in the trails. For some reason it broke a rod, so I am going to off it. I thought as long as I was going to, I wanted to step up to the fuel injection, loved it on the Apex.

I think this was the first year Yamaha put injection on the Vector. Was there any issues with the change? Also I think this was the first year for the 1049 motor. How was that compared to the 973? My 06 gernaded, and don't know why.

Is the changing of the motor kinda easy. Just intimidated with all the different connections.

It's a 2 year old gel cell, but haven't used the sled in a year and a half, and never had a charger on it. After I got it running, it started fine all day. When I parked it for the night put a trickle charger on it over night. Should be good now.

Last week a piston broke in my 973 Vector motor, then broke the rod. Will a newer motor interchange with this one as long as I put my carbs back on? Will all the electrical connectors hook right up, or do I need a 2006 motor?
