Don't know what the engineers were thinking.....The updated ROV vent has been routed to the air box, and you will have oil, water ,etc dripping...all this will drip down on primary(belt slipping, squealing). Only fix is to bypass ROV
I had SD84. With the new ROV vent line going to air box it gets very tight around the throttle bodies, throttle cable and I had to do some rerouting of lines in that area
Dont know if its been fixed with the newer models, but same happened to me and others...here's a previous post... I have the same issue with my 2017. last year with 2 days to go in a backpack trip the sensor fell off. i had to ride for 2 days at 261mph. put about 2000 extra miles on it. dealer...
Had the same issue on 17 LTX DX SW (breaks taking side panel off and on) and ordered the part almost a year ago online only to have it finally cancelled after many updates to shipping. Tried a couple repairs that failed but found that JB weld along with small fiber glass mat patch at the two...
Hello: I do like the cartridge you have but Mike would prefer to find a good complete turbo to replace. If we haven't found anything by Fall, I would like to go with yours if still available. Thanks Jim
Yes, I'm the one that Mike was referring to...what a disastrous change from Yamaha and all with this new ROV will have this problem. I put a temporary rag in air box and cleaned clutches and belt. Went out yesterday and had very significant power increase with 240sm and no more squeal!!!
Hello..I'm looking to replace turbo with only 6000m but getting really noisy. End of season here, so want to get it replaced before next season. What's the story on the one you have and asking price? Thanks Jim
You don't want to take all the slack out of throttle cable or you could end up with sd84(tors)... if you need to make the adjustment it's on the handle bar riser and your looking for .030-.060 in. free play at throttle lever
I have the skid plate Pro Skid Plate (P/N: SMA-8LR34 rr bk on my sled and is a nice plate if looking for full coverage. Some have complained about fitment on initial install, but take your time and it will fit up nicely. (you won't have to enlarge any original holes in plate) I started at front...
