Bingo....the 08 had way to much rear spring, (torsion) the following years have much less spring rate. The sled also has way way to much weight transfer due to beyond sad damping in the shock.....this makes it really tiring to ride and unstable.
the floats are the floats....:-(......... trade...
yah, might be easier to find used ones and some of the bigger gents swapped them out of their 2008's.
i'm your weight and run the 1900, the 2100 was to much.
they break....buy the new (updated) one or weld it up with some support. I used a piece of angel iron
edit...angle :-)......although, a few angels never hurt anyone
i think so.....i rode my sled a few seasons, changed the gearing and did typical service. Never a sound, replacing the driver shaft bolt etc....Then all of a sudden i get this crazy noise at the end of last season and at the start of this years season.....weird.
Anyway, backed the tensioner...
mine makes that sound when the chain is tight. I got some advise from this site......back of the plastic pinch washer and it lets you adjust tension to spec by hand. My tensioner bolt was bound up a bit and i was over tightening with a wrench.
