Back in 08 when I 144'd my shorty and put the back country on I left the gearing alone even when I went to the mountains. Seemed to pull it just fine and had no belt issues. Wouldn't hurt to gear down one. As far as the track being junk, well One year with over a 1500 miles and another 1000...
Thinkin about getting on the asphalt with the Nytro, who here has tried it and what can a person expect for et's. Does a person need a cool down cart or can the fan be wired to run on a switch to keep it cool like a bike?
LOL, well I'm not a huge Skidoo fan but in all fairness the one 1200 there which did have a Powderlites kit ( actually both did), is primarily a trail sled with very LITTLE clutching, that was raced at 10 pounds of boost The driver has not even ever taken part in a drag race before.......lol...
Or find your self a set of old 06 Apex bars and warmers and plug them in.A lot of dealers still have them since there were part of a change up. 10 minute switch with hand burning heat. A couple of us have had em for two years, no issues.
I used the sno eliminators on my shorty Nytro, they were awesome but needed just a slight trim near the back. Other then that , it was two years of good luck with them.
I've owned a 02 700 rmk 700 with all the bolt ons and also a 02 800 151 full mod. The ride is NO comparison between the two as the nytro after a full day of bangin around keeps your back intact. Power wise the motor works great. When my Nytro was stock except the heelclicker two speeds and the...
In my Powderlites Nytro I have been using Ulmers supertips setup in the front and back with REALLY good sucess...........that being said, the Supertorquer stuff worked great for me when the sled was stock, gonna have to give their stuff a try this coming up winter.
Turk, any idea of what my...
As far as reliability, the kits are all real good turboed or supered. It's mostly rider that determines reliability. Case in point the supercharged Nytro engine I'm fixing at present for someone. detoed the piston , block and head because of boost levels and octane. If you had to run low octane...
To put the 1.75 in, the protectors have to come out. Without them there is no ice build up . Only build up I have seen since is on the oil tank side of the sled when riding powder. I put a grille behind the slots on the bottom plastic to stop the snow there and solved alot for me.
No offence taken. I'm going by what I have experienced with mine and a actual hartman stretched 144. Your taking an already heavy frontend even with limiters let out and moving the skid back making the frontend heavier, just common sense. On the nytro my friend put the hartman kit on, he has the...
Too bad Ulmer didn't make his billet 144 rails still. He does however sell the extensions that are real tough and do use full length sliders. Use the 144x1.75 backcountry and believe me you will be happy. I did this in 08 a month into the winter, I was in the same boat as you. I love the sled...
Turk do you know if these controllers are suposed to have a detent?? This one that I have on the sled does NOT have a detent even with the allen tightened.
You don't need to defend yourself, some people don't wanna hear the truth. In 08 when my nytro was stock it might see around 100 miles outta a tank if you were not pushing any type of snow and weren't to the wick all day. If you were pushing snow you could take almost 20 miles off of that.
My...
