How hard is it to get at the spark plugs on a 2009 yamaha vector

Remove the hood, then remove the two bolts (one each side) securing the headlight pod with a 10mm socket. Then remove the 4 bolts that secure the headlight bracket to the delta box. (Be sure to pop the engine idle speed screw out of the socket) With that out of the way, you can easily disconnect each spark plug coil from the wiring harness. Grab each coil and pull straight up to remove. You can then get a socket on each plug.

Although the spark plugs may not use the cap and have the threads exposed (like in #13), the spark plug coils just snap onto the threaded portion. If cap was still on (like in #12), you would not be able to install the coil:
