2016 Manitoba TY RIDE Interest

Guys Dan "The Grizzly One" called and he and Neiko are interested in coming with me..........Let it Snow, Let it Snow.......and Nos PRo and I were talking about meeting in Duluth - this could get complicated. We will have to work out the specifics but is looking good for a TY southern contingency !!

Same Hotel Glenn Howard Inn?

Yamadoo

We are looking at a different venue and working out the details. Glen Howard is fine and is I suppose our fall back to, but concerns over no one there at night has left a sour taste in a few mouths along with a few other issue's of maybe lesser importance. I like what I have seen and heard so far I think its a good option for a 10th anniversary TY ride of 20 to 30 riders! Really looking forward to seeing you again! It will be a blast!

today was a rainy crappy day, just seemed to be a purrrrrrrrrfect day for a ROAD TRIP too go see Anita & Wes over at......The venue is Wilderness Edge in Pinawa.

Seeing how my Little TY Brother Jeff aka "Mr. Gadget or Mr. Magic Lights" was talking with Kevin there we thought lets get a better perspective on this place. Well this place ROCKS and Wes & Anita are very excited on having us there ....FOR A LONG TIME to come. They already have offered a few things that the other place didn't even have or could be bothered with as well as they are willing to adjust their time table for the restaurant breakfast schedule & dinner schedule.

...There is LOTS OF ROOMS for us there too choose from
...TONS of space for big trucks & big trailers
...Co op across the parking lot for re-fueling
...Grocery store right next door as well
...Restaurant
...Sauna
...Out Door Hott Tub
...Mc Koy Lounge...Free (Game Room pool table, ping pong table, big screen tv)
...Free Laundry Room
...Free Computor Room access
...Wes lives there......Phone #600 from the front desk phone if needed...ANYTIME for ANYTHING
...Open Alcohol just about ANYWHERE....Must be hidden so too speak in Restaurant due to non lic thing.

Im more than sure ALL OF YOU are going to like this place and this could EASILY be out new home for the long haul. As Wes & Anita are Welcoming us with open arms and glad to have us and accommodate us for anything we need just ask, as Anita said "Your the customer and we will make you happy" ........The venue is Wilderness Edge.

Hwy #44 East to... Hwy #11 then North to....Hwy #211 East to Pinawa 12km to... Vanier Ave and turn right, just a few blocks down to Burrows Rd turn left to enter the parking lot before the Co Op gas station.

All those with Diesel Fuel Trucks will have to re-fuel in Lac Du Bonnet just down the road at their Co op, as this one doesn't carry it.

Trail is about 500 feet away from the resort. Close enough??
There is a MPI broker in town with limited hours. Opens at 9:30 on Tues, Wed and Thurs according to Bounty

FYI here is some info that may be important with regards to Snopasses:

Out-of-Province Snowmobilers
If you are not a Manitoba resident you must purchase a Snopass to ride the trails in Manitoba. You can purchase either an Annual Snopass or a Seven-Day Snopass. You must show proof of ownership and a valid registration from another jurisdiction that includes a minimum of $200,000 third-party liability coverage. An Annual Snopass allows you to ride on designated trails until April 30. Please contact the above websites.

Are Snopasses mandatory?
If you wish to travel on designated Snoman trails in Manitoba, you must by law have a valid Snopass and display a Snopass sticker on the valid Off-Road Vehicle plate on your snowmobile. Manitoba Conservation patrols the trails regularly. A snowmobiler found to be on a designated trail without a valid Snopass will be fined $474.15.

Just wondering if this ride that is being discussed is open to all Yamaha owners and members of this forum.

MPI Broker is ONLY 200 ft from the hotel, yes their hours of operation are weird....BUTT.....we are currently checking on something as a alternative. Might be able to prebook your trail passes.....will know more Monday night
