Just wanted to let everyone know about an amazing cleaner for the tunnels and all aluminum on your sled. It is called Aluminum Brightner. I purchased it at Napa Auto parts in town for about $9.00. I have never been into scrubbing and the whole elbow grease thing when it comes to cleaning my toys. I do clean them, but not the best. This cleaner is exceptional. You spray it on, as you wait 30 seconds it foams up. You then wash it off or wipe it off and that's it. Here are some before and after pics of the job. They would not have to pay me to be a spokesperson for this product. IT WORKS. As you can see in the pictures it is amazing. I also did the cover that is over the clutches, looks brand new.

Keep in mind that this type cleaner is typically acid based/corrosive. Always a good idea to come back with a nice hand polish after a very thorough pressure rinse.

FPPF Trailer Brite is what I use on my bare aluminum.

Is this it?

If so....

"a blend selected acids and surfactants that easily removes brake dust, oil and road film from dull and semi-dull aluminum wheels. Can also be used on other aluminum surfaces such as pontoon boats, tankers, etc."

Not gonna use on my sleds!

Hey guys. My apex tunnel is black but.... My srx had a standard non painted tunnel. Also, there was a clear coat paint on the tunnel over the bare aluminum to protect from corrosion. I disagree with using this stuff unless you can make sure it will not ruin that coating. Maybe it won't though because aluminum rims have clear coat too.

Now that you have it stripped clean you can do the detail work. Magic Mix Polish on a towel and go to work. Watch the black come off. Have plenty of rags on hand.

Here's my clutch cover on brand new sled. It was dull like the tunnel pics before. Not so much now:
