I have a 06 Vector GT. I would like to know, how do you tell if the donuts are going bad on your exhaust. At this point I have about 5,500 miles on the sled.

You will hear them. Sounds like a ticking or knocking sound. Mine at first you could hear it when it was cold and it would go away when hot. After it was there all the time.

Mine rattled like hell and would go away when hot.
When Aaron Excell pulled mine apart his header system was also cracked, this is common I hear.
I have been working with the following people to build a better donut;

I have so far supplied them with engineering drawings, they seem interested in the project - only problem I see is they will want to sell me a large quantitity of donuts to make it worth their while.
Bender Racing offers a replacement already http://benderracing.com/index.php?page= ... &Itemid=53
But I think these new donuts will take a few years or long run times to determine there durability. just my .02
