Anybody know anything about these shocks? They appear to be some new FOX adjustable setup but with only 3 settings, unlike most clicker shocks that have 15-20 "clicks" of adjustment. I was hoping Yamaha would put clickers on the LTX this year, but this different than anything I've seen. I looked on the FOX website but can't find anything about this shock there either. Looks like a similar setup on the rear shocks as well.

Any Fox or Yamaha reps on here that know anything about this?

They took the standard rc2 resevoir shock and toned down the adjustment settings
Rode a pair of full adjustment rc2 resevoirs on a cat RXC600 sled and huge upgrade IMO over floats
RTX SE in season sled comes standard with these LTX models need to be LE spring only to get them

I work at a bicycle shop and Fox uses the same 3click design on there rear bicycle shock 1.climb,2.trail,3.decend. Just trying to make it easier for the people who have no clue or don't want to learn how to dial in there shocks. Although a great idea it is not as good as having the full adjustability of both the rebound and compression. I was pumped to see them on the Viper until I found more info on them and was let down by the three position setting. Still better than the floats.

I would like a XTX for the longer track, bigger lug, and the fact that it is not coupled, but I don't think the floats are the answer for the trail riding I do. I currently ride a xtx 1.75 nytro, so I think the ltx le with a 1.75 back country would be a good compromise even with it being coupled it should pull the skis good in powder and I plan to turbo it.

Thanks guys. Spoke to a local dealer today and he said the dealers still have no info in these shocks. He's going to try to call Yamaha to get more info on them tomorrow.

Thanks bitburner - definitely a little more info there. Still not sure I'm drinking the koolaid on this shock, but I guess worst case scenario is I have to change them out if I hate them. Still nothing on the FOX website about these, or on the Yamaha site. Looks like no rebound adjustment either.

They sound pretty cool if indeed they offer 3 true performance levels in 1 shock as mentioned above. I thought I read that Polaris also offers these units. My biggest complaint with most adjustable shocks is that the softest position is often too harsh to begin with so the other 10+ positions are useless to me.

So let's say I but these on an LE model and find them to stiff, could I send them out to be revalved?

They are setting 1 lxr stiffness, setting 2 snopro setting and setting 3 rr setting. There's a video on YouTube
