Hey everyone! I would like to remove, dismantle and clean the clutches on my 2011 nytro mtx se. I can't seem to track down any tutorials or instructions on how to go about this. Is there any special tools I will need? Anything to look for in the way of fatigue or wear? Any tips or tricks? Thanks any and all help/info would be a big help!

Miles on the sled? You will need a puller for the primary clutch to be removed. Very thing else can be disabled with just hand tools. Check the ramps for wear line, new springs if you have alot miles. Then wash them with hot Dawn dish soap and blow dry them.

No just put some body weight on top of them when removing the nuts. But with that few of miles I would not disable them just wash them. And when you have them off I would repack the bearings on the jackshaft and the speedo bearing.

I just take the covers off and remove the springs then into the dishwasher they go. Does an awesome job. DISCLAIMER: Approve with wife or girlfriend first!

if you do put them in the dishwasher (works very good) do not put any detergents in there, it will corrode your clutch sheaves. and to add to super1c's disclaimer: or wait till the wife or girlfriend are out of the house for a while if you dont ask

X3 Significant other disclaimers. Just tryin' to keep the family peace.
I add about 3 drops (yes drops) of regular dish detergent (not dishwasher detergent) to the mix. Any more that that and there are plenty of Youtube videos to show what happens.
The soap helps to really clean them, but water works nearly as well if you are worried about death by wife/girlfriend.
