Team Fast 136" M20 - 2011+ Apex XTX (Version 1.0)

One more install tip, use red loctite on the mounting bolts and torque the front ones to 70ft/lbs not the 40ft/lbs the instructions call for. Mine backed out after 500mi

The new skid arrived today.

Nice lookin skid aren't they. I installed an extra set of wheels @ the mid- rail to reduce hyfax wear and reduce rolling resistance. Fast sells the kit, I don't recall what it was called though.

There are some components that resemble the M10 in my Vector, but other than that, this thing is a complete departure from what I'm use to. There is no FRA adjustment on the rear shock, just air pressure.

I've been involved in another thread regarding M20's and the use of 9 tooth extrovert drivers.
http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... sc&start=0

Basically, the M20 front arm mounts very close to the drive axle. There are no issues with older sleds that came stock internal drivers. There is interference, however, on newer sleds with extrovert drivers, as the external teeth will hit the front swingarm. When placing the order, Team Fast asked me if my sled had extroverts. Then they assembled my skid, to accommodate my drivers, by moving the entire front swingarm and front shock rearward on the rails to allow for drive teeth clearance. After this simple change is confirmed, all that needs done at assembly is to drill the front arm mounting hole further back on the tunnel.

You can see in the picture below, that the front swingarm is mounted in the hole that sets it farther back on the rail. This is what allows for the driver teeth clearance. Fast will also include amended instructions on where to drill holes for mounting the front arm on the tunnel.

I'm still in the homework stage, and I've been asking lots of questions to other members with M20's. Several people have responded and I want to say, "Thank You!"

It's too wet to plant corn, so I took the Apex back out of storage and got it into the shop.

It might be August before I get any more work done, so bare with me.

Are these mid mount wheels what you guys are referring to?

Yes, if you want I can look up my invoice and see what the kit is called. It was about $100 +/-

Thanks, that would be great. Don't go out of your way for it though.

The sound of rain (again) woke me up this morning, so I went out and removed the stock skid and started measuring for the M20. I wanted to leave the stock drop brackets in place, but they're in the way, so I'm going to remove them. Beside's, they stick down too far and would not look right.

I'm not on a weight loss mission by any means, but I weighed each skid for a comparison. This is comparing apples to oranges, but I did find the weights interesting. The weight of the M20 includes the air compressor that will mount to the tunnel.
