Vin # question

Hi i am new here and in the market in buying a sled (2014 sr viper ltx)

However the machine i went to look at had the vin looking a little "off"

On a white tunnel.... Is this normal?.

Looks like the white around the numbers are peeling or chipping?

Maybe, that could be the reason.

Going to see the dealers tomorrow to compare it to thier used sleds

I really do not know, but I have see tunnel replacement with home stamped numbers. Cannondale can you help here?

Was ready to buy the machine, just the way that looked made me want to look into it.
Before purchasing it.

I guess a studded track can rip a tunnel pretty easily...

Actually I just went out and looked at my 2014 XTX and it looks just like the one you have in the pic and I bought mine new. Loosok to me

I believe the VIN numbers are stamped into the tunnel after the color has been painted on (whether it be white or black). Is this a new or used snowmobile?

Yes normal.

It is 2014 used snowmobile but original owner with all the paperwork when he purchased from the dealer and all maintenance records

It just looks a little worn. If it was new I would be surprised, but that is normal
