Should a guy unhook all the electronics and battery before welding, or ok to keep the ground right at the work site without unhook anything?
I need to make a few welds on the tunnel of a sled.

I always unhook battery. Never heard of anything happening but why chance it?

X2 I have cheated and been lucky many times but I wouldn't take a chance with a sled, not worth the risk!!!!!!

all it would take is for a fraction of a sec that the ground wire has a loss of continuity and the weld grounds to the battery or worse and everything is fried. dont chance it just disconnect battery and you will be fine.
