Yes there are only the 2 inside wheels to assist with sidehilling. If we did not have mountain riding here this would not be necessary. When I re-started sledding 2 years ago I thought I would mostly trail ride - but that changed quickly. Hence I am 'mountainizing' my XTX.

I love AZ but for different reasons than snowmobiling
Not to add salt to the wound but the countryside in the photos received 2' of new snow this past week. Just waiting for the storm cycle to pass and will get back out there ASAP.
