my dealer says can only get them with complete carbs.where are you guys getting these mountain float bowls.better yet anyone make some nice cnc ones

It was an update that yamaha was doing in 2004ish, on Mountain sleds. Might find a set laying around @ a dealership in the west. There was a company that made a different main jet or jet extension or something to fix that problem. Forgot the name, somebody on here will know it thou.

The only difference is an oring on the botom of the main jet which lightly seals against the float bowl when it is installed back on. They are only used for very steep boondocking to keep fuel to the main jet when at a very steep angle.

I thought they changed the design of the float bowl to keep the fuel from washing away from the main jet also. If you are a mountain rider the update is a must. if trail and flat land not that important. I would check on the parted out sleds in the classified.

The new design was to add a oring to the bottom of the main jet.

Old design on the left and new design on the right.

From the 2004 tech update book. "The float bowl chamber shape and main jet holder are changed to improve fuel delivery during steep hill climbing angles."
