WIX oil filter

does anyone know what wix or napa filter is used on the 1049cc yami motor? Also. what weight synthetic oil works good. I'm due for a change and just getting some input before doing so. thanks.
 
I run a wix filter,I use 0W-40 Mobile 1. I have 560 miles on this year and not one problem to speak of.
 
Thanks guys. What about oil? what viscosity? pure synthetic? what brand (altho it probably doesnt matter a whole lot)
 
Amsoil and Mobil 1 are a couple of the popular ones. I've had good luck with Mobil 1 0w-30 and this year went with 5w-30 because it was available. You can buy a 5 quart jug at Walmart for around $25.
 
used the wix filter and royal purple oil, good thing I did do it. I found an oil leak coming from the front side of the engine. It is in the shop now. thanks for the help
 
Oil Change

I am at 450 miles on my new xtx, manual says to change it at 500 for the first oil change.

I probably only have about 300 miles of riding left this year.

1 - Change it now and not at the end of the season
2 - Change it now and again at the end of the season
3 - Wait until end of the season

I am not leaning towards 3, just cannot decide between 1 & 2.

I am in the same boat as you, I am changing now and then waiting till next season. I only have one more weekend of riding left. I do the same principle with my bike. Go #1 but I'm sure others will have their own opinion
