Overheating

Out on the trails yesterday with two RX-1's and my Warrior and all three were overheating from time to time. About 35 F. What's the cure for this $hit anyway? I had the same problem last year. I'm sick of packing snow on the fins.

Rear heat exchanger helps. Either the Viper(SRX) or the new maountain one. You have to modify the inlets on the viper one if you mount it in a tunnel extension.

You what it is??? Happened to me.

You have an air-lock somewhere in the system that only surfaces from time to time. I had the same thing. Do the following....

Next time riding, drive you sled up a VERY STEEP hill and park it with front end up. Open the hood while it's running and SLOWLY open the Coolant Resevoir cap. Rev the machine for a few minutes and watch for bubbles to come to the surface. Do this 3 or 4 times during the day and your problem be fixed. Mine was doing the same and after I did this never happened once. Even a VERY small air-lock can cause your machine to overheat.

Wonder is right.. Happened to me also! You have to repeat the process a few times to get all the air bled out of the system. Once you do though you will be good to go !!

I dont have a overheating problem but that would explain why my resevoir was low. When I first bought the machine it would idle and if left to run for 5 mins shut down because of heat. The resevoir was correct when I check it then. Went riding and it heated up again checked the resevoir and added about half a litre of antifreeze never heated up again since and I have left it to idle for 30 mins or so.
