I dropped a couple of the famous kiss my a$$ black threaded clips in the engine compartment of my ATTAK GT, youknow the ones for the headlight pod...Was thinking of tipping the sled on its side and hoping the would come out the bottom. Is this ok and if so, any picks on the safest way to do it? Love the ease of working on these sleds, its a real dream!!!

Just get a friend and tip it on its side. You probably still wont find the clips. Go to ACE hardware and pick up new ones for about 50 cents each. Buy some extras.

Tipping

Just stand on one running board and grab the opposite side handlebar and pull it up on its side

I did the same on mine but looked real hard with a good light and retrieved them with the telescopic magnet. Quite often, they don't go far, just hard to see. Thereafter every clip I ran across, I cut a strip of duct tape half an inch longer on two sides of the clip, punched a hole out in the centre where the bolt goes. Sticks great to the surrounding plastic.

I lost myne 2x. After that I decided to use the black plastic license plate screw and nut for the windshield. Looks fine and works better.

It went to a guy here in ma. He actually did ok with all the extras. I think were all set this year, grabbed a bunch of goodies. You?
